Alex Stewart is an artist from the Lower Mainland of British Columbia.
Alex uniquely draws from his experience in industrial and automotive painting, which has in turn augmented his processes and influenced his work. Primarily working in stencil, spraypaint and collage - he uses both wood and steel as his canvas. Each piece is made with hand-cut stencils that are used a limited number of times - sometimes only once - before being destroyed.
Alex graduated from the University of the Fraser Valley in 2011. When outside of the studio, Alex is just that, outside. A talented rock climber he spends as much time climbing as possible, also taking the time to coach younger rock climbing athletes. In the climbing gym and through his artwork, he is always working to inspire others to create and experience life to its fullest.
